On Saturday 2nd December join the us in celebrating Beeston’s Annual Christmas Lights Switch On Ceremony.
Lights Switch On Ceremony
At 5pm the Lights will be officially switched on by the Mayor of Broxtowe Halimah Khaled and the family of Owen Jenkins. Once the lights are a glow, continue the merriment in The Square with more musical entertainment. Then finally top off the night by watching the spectacular firework display illuminate the night’s sky at 6:30pm.
Santa’s Grotto – 10:30am at the Durham Ox
Children’s rides – 10:30am along the High Road
Variety of stalls – 12pm next to The Last Post
Traditional Fair – 12pm Old Bus Station
Stage – The Square from 3:30pm, headliners The Electric Bears
While perusing the festive activities of the Christmas lights night, take advantage of all the other events happening in the town. The Season of Lights event will also take place at the Methodist Church on Chilwell Road from 2:30pm – 4:30pm.
Bartons have a FREE drop in exhibition on vehicle heritage from 4pm-6pm.
It’s also Small Business Saturday UK. This is a great opportunity to browse the fantastic independently owned shops in Beeston, as many businesses will offer a one-off promotion to celebrate being local.
