Why should women lift?; here’s our top five reasons

Weight training is the key to loosing fat

By weight training you build lean muscle. It’s a pretty simple formula; the more muscle you have the quicker you metabolism will be = more calories you’ll burn

It’s more effective than cardio exercise

As cardio won’t build muscle in the same way as weight training. It will also improve your abilities in other sports; as having a solid strength base really helps improve many other areas of athleticism

You’ll develop muscle tone and definition

The biggest fear of many women is that they’ll end up bulky. Don’t worry because of low levels of testosterone, you’ll develop muscle tone but not bulk

It helps build bone density

Weight training increases bone density and decreases the chance of developing osteoporosis later in life

Improve your strength and boost confidence

Weight training can have such a positive effect it’s incredibly satisfying and motivating to see your strength soar!
