General FAQs – Relaxation of Covid19 Restrictions, 19th July 2021

What is happening on 19th July?

As per the latest Government guidance, capacities for the gym, swimming pools and group exercise classes can be increased, thereby allowing more people to exercise. The increase in capacities are to be phased in during the last two weeks of July, with the gym numbers being increased from 19th July; swimming and group exercise classes to follow.

What are the opening times?

Monday – Friday – 6.30am – 9.00pm
Weekends – 8.00am – 5.00pm

Monday – Friday – 6.30am – 9.00pm
Weekends – 8.00am – 5.00pm

Monday – Friday – 4.00pm – 10.00pm
Weekends – 9.00am – 5.00pm

Do I have to wear a face covering?

We encourage all our staff and customers to continue wearing a face covering, even though this is not compulsory. Face coverings do not have to be worn whilst participating in an activity.

Do I have to book in advance?

The gym does not have to be booked in advance – simply turn up at your preferred time, although you can still book online at Bramcote and Chilwell Olympia to guarantee your space.

All other visits, such as for swimming or for group exercise classes, will be managed through online bookings that need to be made in advance of your activity.

By booking online you will guarantee your space.

Payment must be made at the time of booking online.

What will I have to do when I arrive in reception?

We will encourage customers to use the NHS QR code for Test & Trace purposes (shown at the entrance) and continue to support the use of the temperature scanning equipment. We are also maintaining our screens on reception desks to prioritise yours and our staff safety and would ask that you sanitise your hands on arrival.

If I have booked two classes in a row, can I remain in the studio until the next class starts?


How will you keep the gym and classes clean?

Cleaning cloths and disinfectant will continue to be available for your use to wipe down equipment before and after use.

Will there be a queue?

We have kept staggered start times for some of our activities, which will allow us to manage building flow and prevent queueing. However, there is likely to be a queue at busier times of the day. Where possible we encourage you to visit at less busy times and not to arrive too earlier, or too late for your activity.

Will the gym changing rooms and showers be open?

Yes, changing rooms and showers will begin to re-open from 19th July in a phased approach.

Where can I store my belongings?

The lockers within the changing rooms will be available for your use.

Will the toilets be open?

Yes, we have increased our cleaning frequency of toilets. Please sanitise your hands before and after using the toilets to help us keep everyone safe.

Can I still use the vending machines and reception area?

The vending machines will be re-stocked in the week commencing 19th July.

Do you provide yoga mats?

Yes, but we would advise you to bring your own with you should you own one.

Will water fountains be available?

Yes, but we also advise you to please bring your own water with you and remember to take the bottle home at the end of your session.

How will I leave the building when I have finished my activity?

The one way systems to enter and leave the buildings will stop on July 19th. The original routes will be restored.
