Fancy a Christmas experience which is a little out of the ordinary? Well, we’ve just had a secret letter from the Christmas Fairy saying she is on her way to Eastwood! The Christmas Fairy will be at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum to see the Christmas lights sparkle on Tuesday 29th November.
The Fairy Grotto has become a popular tradition at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum and one of the highlights of the Eastwood Christmas Lights Switch On event. It is an enchanting event and the perfect way to begin the festive season! We have been eagerly preparing the Christmas trees, the twinkly lights and decorations ready for the Christmas Fairy and all of her festive friends at the museum. We can’t wait to meet her!
Boys and girls can ask the Christmas Fairy for all their Christmas wishes to be granted! What will you wish for?
Admission is £4.00 per child which includes a goody bag and a voucher to come back and have a tour of the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum for free. There will also be free mulled wine for grown-ups (subject to availability… we have very thirsty elves!)! In addition there will be samples of gingerbread baked to a traditional Victorian recipe and the chance to explore the gift shop for unusual gifts, traditional toys and original little stocking-fillers for all ages.
The Fairy Grotto is open from 6pm till 8pm, but will open at 5.30pm for those with additional access needs. There is no need to book so just come along and enjoy the festive atmosphere!
