It’s an exciting time for Bramcote Leisure Centre as building work gets underway on the new facilities.
As we look ahead to the new centre, we want to create a gym environment that supports your health and fitness goals, whether you’re a regular gym user, just starting your fitness journey, returning to exercise or simply thinking about what would encourage you to be more active.
Help us create a gym that works for you
We want the new gym to be shaped around the people who will use it.
What equipment matters most to you? What makes a gym feel welcoming and enjoyable? How important is technology and connectivity when you train? Are there things you would like to see more of, or features you’ve experienced elsewhere that you think would make a real difference?
We’ve created a short survey to give you the opportunity to tell us what you think.
Your feedback will help inform the development of the new gym environment, including areas such as:
- The mix of cardio, strength, resistance and functional training equipment
- Free weights and dedicated training spaces
- The look, feel and layout of the gym
- Equipment that supports different abilities, needs and fitness goals
- Digital and connected fitness experiences
- Entertainment and technology available while you train
- Ways to track workouts, progress and achievements
- Features that could make your workouts more enjoyable, motivating and personalised

Designed for our community
We know that everyone uses the gym differently, for some people, it’s about building strength or improving fitness, whilst for others it might be about supporting their general health, becoming more active, training for an event or simply enjoying some valuable time for themselves. Whilst we perhaps won’t be able to action every idea or request we collect through this survey, we’d love to do as much as we can to build the gym environment around your needs and achieve a nice balance for all users.
This new gym environment will be 1.5 times larger than the current gym, which gives us a lot more opportunity to include new equipment, reflect gym trends such as increased strength space, create themed areas, plus have more space for gym floor classes and workshops.
That’s why we want to hear from a wide range of people, including existing members and customers, occasional gym users and those who may be considering using the new facilities in the future.
You don’t need to be a fitness expert, we simply want to know what matters to you.
